Clémence built the GISEL B. brand around three values:
- French and reasoned manufacturing
- accessibility to allow everyone to offer themselves or to be offered a unique piece and manufactured in a reasoned way
- the quality . With each jewel you receive a guarantee card. Our jewels are repairable, for life, to allow you to keep your pieces as long as possible.
Our manufacturing process
Our manufacturing workshop is based in Valence, in the south-east of France. We draw all our parts there. Gabrielle takes care of the workshop. She assembles all the jewels there. It is also in our workshop that we work all the cultured pearls (weaving, drilling, assembly...). We work with a craftsman, based in our region, very close to us, for the realization of complex jewelry tasks (welding, polishing, plating...).
Our materials
In jewelry, the notion of eco-responsibility is very vague, even non-existent. Why ? Because it is still very difficult to have a traceability on the metals, and which often they are extracted from the ground therefore, polluting, not respectful.
For more than 3 years, at GISEL B we have been using recycled gold for all our fine chains (that of the Diana for example) and our jewelry finishes (rings, clasps, rods, buckle supports...). They are from Spain, near Valencia.
Our bespoke chains, like the one used for the Alex choker , are made in a small factory in Germany.
Regarding our tailor-made earrings, like the Tara hoop earrings, or our medals, like the Rosa bracelets , everything is made in the Paris region.
Our jewels are guaranteed lead and nickel free.

Our cultured pearls
GISEL B.'s DNA is the cultured pearl. The freshwater cultured pearl is only found in Asia (Japan, China and South Korea). So we have to import it. We know that the impact of this import is not positive. But we put several actions in place to be as neutral as possible: we order in large quantities to avoid transport, we only use soft mobility.
For more than 4 years, we have been working with the same craftsmen based in China. This is a family business that has been cultivating pearls for several generations. This family, concerned about people, respects people and the planet. We do this regularly. And we have certificates.

Depuis plus de 2 ans maintenant GISEL B. se tourne vers l'or recyclé pour vous proposer des bijoux plus "propre".
L'or recyclé c'est quoi ?
C'est ré-utiliser l'or qui est déjà extrait des mines. L'or a la particularité de pouvoir se fondre à volonté sans perdre de sa qualité. Ainsi en utilisant l'or que nous avons tous enfermé dans nos placard, on respecte l'homme et la planète, plus besoin d'aller dans les mines.
Nos artisans proposant l'or recyclé sont membres RJC c'est à dire qu'ils s'engagent à promouvoir la responsabilité éthique et les droits humains, et à être transparents.
